How P.S. Can Help

The death of a baby is a life-changing experience. Most parents are not able to satisfactorily grieve the loss of a newborn, or a baby who died during pregnancy. They are expected to put their lives back together and continue with life as if the loss did not occur. This is what society expects us to do. Parents need to grieve their loss. Although, this may seem difficult it is a necessary and natural process.

Often the pain we have isn’t known or understood by the people we love and others. P.S. can help.

P.S. is a group of parents who have experienced a loss from stillbirth, infant loss or miscarriage. The organization is run entirely by volunteer members. Our services include:

  • Monthly peer support groups in various locations throughout the Puget Sound
  • Online presence including website of resources, public Facebook page, and a private Facebook group.
  • A lending library of relevant books
  • Referrals for outside resources
  • Informational packets for new members with helpful resources
  • Quarterly newsletter in online and/or print form
  • Annual Walk to Remember at Gene Coulon Park
  • Other event such as a spring pottery painting get-together
  • A network of parents whom you can call
